Camille Eide has written a book that is heartwarming, fun and inspiring. It's one of those books who's character's capture your imagination and heart. I liked the way she developed each character and made them real and believable. I laughed at Ian chasing his granny driving the truck, and cried with Emily as she learned about her future. Aunt Grace and Grandma Maggie are quite the pair. I liked how this book was not all serious and had many lighthearted moments. It's a book about living life as if it was your last and the joy of each new day.
Even though this book was fiction, There was many lessons that the reader can learn as well. I kept thinking about something my dad taught me when I was younger. My little sister had borrowed something without asking and I had gotten upset about it.
My dad made a fist and said to me ' you should not hold your things close to you.' He opened his fist and said, 'instead you need to hold your things out like this and let go, and freely give of your stuff.' It can be hard and one of those things we work on throughout our life.
:-) I recommend this book to everyone!

Like There No Tomorrow edition by Camille Eide Religion Spirituality eBooks Reviews
I could almost smell the honeysuckle & see the radiant green hills of Scotland. It's a story of love, forgiveness and hope. Although I really enjoyed the ending, I think Ms. Eide could easily write a sequel to this one...I'd buy it in a heartbeat.
What a lovely story! I found myself not wanting to put the book down. I love it when a writer can write a good, clean romance without any smut in it. This one's highly recommended!
Beautiful story of the internal growth of Emily and Ian as they get to know more about each other both in the U.S. and Scotland. Some wonderful reminders of God's love and strength which we can turn to throughout our lives no matter the circumstance. I came away from this book glad that I have found another great author whose books will inspire me while providing deeper insights into how much we should love those around us.
This book had me hooked from the beginning and I hated to see it end. A beautiful, well written, inspiring story. Two people who had never met but knew each other through letters that had written on behalf of relatives, meet for the first two and there is an instant connection. We are led on a journey from Central Oregon to Scotland. The dynamics of all characters in this book shine through the pages. There is funny moments, sad moments and moments that just leave you speechless. I hope that there is a sequel in the future.
This book is absolutely captivating in so many ways. The author's voice is unique and soothing. I couldn't put this story down. The writing is stellar and the story riveting. I can't recommend this book enough. Good romance, written well, is gold, and Eide has a story that shines. My love for all things Celtic pulled me into this story, too. This fabulous book feeds the senses as well as the heart. Romance isn't normally something I read much of, but I couldn't put this book down. Eide envelops her reader with the gentle deftness of melodious prose. I gladly and proudly give this book five stars.
When I finished Camille's book, I found myself in awe. It was exactly what I needed, and I finished it on a day I especially needed to hear the story's beautiful message. It was so touching, moving...and I adored the characters. They stayed with me even when I wasn't reading, as well as after I finished. It has the most satisfying ending I've read in a very long time, and maybe in all the CBA books I've ever read. I laughed and cried throughout. Honestly, this is one of the few CBA books that I felt gave me the exact message I needed to hear--no more, no less--and exactly when I needed to hear it. I feel like my life will be better for it. I know those are strong words to say about a novel, but I really do mean them. I've spent far too much of my life living everywhere but the present moment. Thank you for writing this book, Camille. You are a truly gifted storyteller.
I was immediately drawn into "Like There's No Tomorrow". The witty banter of two feisty old Scottish sisters serves as the perfect narration for the unlikely love story of Ian--a heartbroken man who had long since given up on God--and Emily--a lonely but caring woman who knows she's nothing without Him. Deeply inspirational & woven through with scripture, this beautiful novel lifts readers up without being preachy & lacks none of the passion of a classic romantic novel. The laugh out loud moments and the tangible spark between Ian & Emily kept me turning pages and longing for more at the end!
I enjoyed this book, it captured my heart. I loved how the author was able to translate what the characters were thinking, it resonated with me. I wouldn't call it predictable, I expected a lovely ending, but I didn't expect it to engage me as much as it did. I could almost see the settings and characters, they were so well-defined. Highly recommend!
